Summary
Assist users with issues arising from everyday computer use.
Position Duties
- Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Respond and resolve level 1 user IT problems.
- Configure, maintain, upgrade, install and support hardware and software applications.
- Hardware and software basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Investigates user problems and identifies their source and determine possible solutions.
- Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks and other systems.
- Document processes, procedures and troubleshooting how-to’s.
- Other duties that may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
- MS Office, Windows 10 and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of LAN hardware such as servers, hubs and routers.
- Knowledge of local and network printer maintenance and administration.
- 2 years minimum as IT Help Desk support and hardware/software troubleshooting or equivalent training are required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, well organized, self-motivator who can work well with others,
- Flexible, can-do attitude with user orientation and strong dependability.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, reach with arms and hands, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
