Job Description
As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Coordinator in Pittsburgh, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a leading healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated hospital areas to help maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents, and your focus on exceptional customer service and communication will contribute to a positive experience throughout the facility. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within a healthcare environment, including during emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, adapting to the unique needs of a healthcare location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and help maintain a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Work closely with healthcare staff and the public, offering assistance while upholding Allied Universal's standards for professionalism and security-related conduct.
- Observe and report any irregularities or incidents, including those related to property, equipment, or individuals on the premises, according to company and client protocols.
- Remain alert to potential security-related risks and communicate promptly with supervisors or emergency services when necessary.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to work in hospital environments, including areas such as morgues, and perform security-related tasks such as restraining individuals as required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
