JOB SUMMARY:
The Operational Technology (OT) Project Engineer is responsible for providing the Project Manager with a well-documented execution plan that includes site-specific tasks, effort, duration, and assigned resources. The Project Engineer coordinates the technical team's efforts to deliver projects according to scope, budget, and timeline, ensuring proper documentation and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and coordinate project deployment plans, timelines, and budgets: Develop comprehensive project plans, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Inform site management of project impacts: Communicate project implications to site management, ensuring transparency and preparedness.
- Prepare training documents for operators and vendors: Develop and distribute training materials to facilitate smooth transitions and effective operations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met: Collaborate with various departments to achieve project goals and milestones.
- Conduct equipment inventory: Perform thorough equipment inventories to maintain accurate records and ensure availability.
- Evaluate site discovery findings and build site VLAN structures: Analyze site data to design and implement effective VLAN structures.
- Assign new IP addresses and create updated network diagrams: Manage IP address assignments and update network diagrams to reflect current configurations.
- Prepare and present designs for Architecture Review Committee: Develop and present architectural designs for review and approval.
- Raise policy exception and risk acceptance tickets: Document and manage policy exceptions and risk acceptance processes.
- Provide support and training for site personnel and vendors after cutover is completed: Offer ongoing support and training to ensure successful post-implementation operations.
- Install and configure security tools as needed: Implement and configure necessary security tools to protect the network and systems.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and practices: Adhere to cybersecurity standards and best practices to safeguard systems.
- Finalize As-Built documentation: Complete and maintain accurate As-Built documentation for all projects.
- Understand technical aspects of projects to effectively manage and communicate with technical teams: Bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding.
- Primary technical design decision maker and informing leadership of decisions made: Lead technical design decisions and keep leadership informed of progress and outcomes.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of Associates Degree in a technical area (computer science, networking, engineering, Automation, Electrical etc.), Bachelor’s Degree preferred: Educational background in relevant technical fields.
- 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise-level technology operations and services, network-specific preferred: Extensive experience in technology operations and network support.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing environments with a 24/7 operating requirement: Proven experience in manufacturing settings with continuous operations.
- Highly motivated, self-starters comfortable working in a cross-functional global team: Strong initiative and ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams.
- Strong communication and documentation skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and succeed in an environment of competing priorities: Effective multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment; willingness to learn new skills and take direction from other team members; ability to organize information and manage time efficiently: Adaptability and organizational skills.
- Expected travel 50%: Willingness to travel as required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience coordinating multiple cross-functional projects: Proven track record of coordinating complex projects across various functions.
- Experience in network architecture design and implementation, both physical and virtual: Expertise in designing and implementing network architectures.
- Experience programming and troubleshooting Cisco switches using CLI commands: Proficiency in Cisco switch programming and troubleshooting.
- Experience working with server infrastructure and virtualization: Knowledge of server infrastructure and virtualization technologies.
- Experience guiding contractors through on-site installation and troubleshooting: Ability to lead and support contractors during installations and troubleshooting.
- Experience working as a technology generalist with a high-level understanding of end-to-end solutions including infrastructure, applications, networking, and security: Broad understanding of technology solutions.
- Technical experience with process automation systems: Valuable but not required experience with specific automation systems.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
- Ideal candidates will have experience with Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, and be able to create scripts to automate repeatable processes: Proficiency in these tools and scripting for automation is highly desirable.
