Location: Midwest Preferred(Grand Rapids, MI or Hebron, OH)

Compensation: $145,000–$165,000 Base + Annual Incentive

About the Role

\n

We are seeking a commercially minded Product Line Manager – Healthcare to lead the day-to-day commercial and operational performance of a strategically important healthcare product line.

\n

This is not a traditional product management position. The role combines pricing, profitability, customer management, new product development, project leadership, and strategic execution. You will work closely with Sales, Operations, R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Manufacturing to drive growth and improve customer and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

\n

    \n
  • Own day-to-day pricing, quoting, costing, and product/customer profitability.
  • \n

  • Analyze costs, manufacturing complexity, waste, materials, and other factors impacting margins.
  • \n

  • Partner with Sales on strategic accounts, proposals, negotiations, contracts, and customer issues.
  • \n

  • Develop and implement pricing strategies, including raw-material cost changes and customer communications.
  • \n

  • Lead customer-driven new product development and commercialization initiatives.
  • \n

  • Build business cases and prioritize new product opportunities.
  • \n

  • Coordinate R&D, Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales, and customer requirements.
  • \n

  • Lead major customer onboarding and qualification projects.
  • \n

  • Support long-cycle healthcare projects, including material/resin changes and customer qualification requirements.
  • \n

  • Provide input into manufacturing and sourcing decisions based on cost, capacity, and customer requirements.
  • \n

  • Translate the company's multi-year healthcare growth strategy into actionable initiatives.
  • \n

  • Challenge pricing, margin, product mix, and business decisions when the economics do not support the opportunity.
  • \n

Required Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • Strong experience in flexible film / flexible packaging is critical.
  • \n

  • Experience in product management, product-line management, market management, commercial management, or a related function.
  • \n

  • Strong understanding of pricing, costing, margins, and product profitability.
  • \n

  • Technical knowledge of flexible films, resins, material structures, customer specifications, and manufacturing processes.
  • \n

  • Experience working directly with customers and cross-functional technical teams.
  • \n

  • Strong project management and commercialization experience.
  • \n

  • Ability to operate effectively in both strategic and hands-on/tactical environments.
  • \n

  • Strong communication, influencing, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • \n

  • Ability to challenge internal and external stakeholders while maintaining strong relationships.
  • \n

Preferred Experience

\n

    \n
  • Healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical-device packaging experience is highly desirable.
  • \n

  • Candidates with exceptional flexible-packaging experience from other industries, such as food or beverage, may also be considered.
  • \n

  • Experience with customer-specific products, BOMs, qualification processes, and long-cycle product development is a plus.
  • \n

Location & Travel

\n

    \n
  • Hebron, OH or Grand Rapids, MI are preferred locations.
  • \n

  • Chicago/Park Ridge and other Midwest locations are also desirable.
  • \n

  • Exceptional candidates in the Central or Eastern U.S. may be considered.
  • \n

  • Remote work is possible, although proximity to a manufacturing plant is strongly preferred.
  • \n

  • Travel is primarily driven by customer needs, trade shows, sales meetings, and plant requirements.
  • \n
