Engineering Manager
Position Overview
The Engineering Manager will lead and oversee engineering projects, ensuring that all designs and processes meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The successful candidate will manage a team of engineers while collaborating with other departments to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Vice President on departmental operations, quoting, and tool design initiatives.
- Lead and manage engineering staff through effective planning, delegation, and coordination across teams.
- Oversee integration of engineering and manufacturing to optimize quality, yield, flexibility, and delivery timelines.
- Communicate with customers and internal departments to ensure requirements are met and feedback is incorporated.
- Administer CAD systems, documentation, procurement of supplies, and uphold continuous improvement efforts.
- Support daily operations-including supervisor assistance, miscellaneous duties, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar role.
- Strong background in tooling design and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with flat grinding, EDM, and CNC milling.
- Must have completed an industry apprenticeship or equivalent (machinist, tool and die, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
