Job Title: Packaging Operator 1
Location: Martin, SC 29836
Job Type: Contract (6 Months)
Pay Rate: $24.00/hour (W2)
Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM & 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour rotating swing shift)
Rotating schedule (days and nights)
OR
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour (W2)
Shift: Monday – Friday (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM)
- Occasional overtime available
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Packaging Operator to support chemical manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing or chemical production environment and be comfortable working rotating 12-hour shifts while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform packaging operations following established procedures.
- Transport chemicals and materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, pumps, and other equipment.
- Monitor product quality and production output.
- Complete production and batch documentation accurately.
- Follow GMP, safety, and quality procedures.
- Clean production equipment and work areas.
- Dispose of waste according to company procedures.
- Wear required PPE and maintain a safe work environment.
- Report equipment or process issues to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in Life Science is a plus).
- 1–3 years of manufacturing or chemical production experience preferred.
- Forklift experience is required.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift over 20 lbs.
- Comfortable working with chemicals while wearing PPE.
