Job DescriptionJob Summary:The welder will weld various metals, construct, and fabricate manufactured parts to complete production processes.The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:Duties/Responsibilities:Use of standard industry tools and machinery Knowledge of material types and gauge thicknessPrepare product for the next step in the production process, by checking for defects in detail and/or cosmetic appearanceReport defective materials or questionable quality conditions Perform all essential functions/duties within quality requirements Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly conditionFollow all required safety proceduresPerforms other duties as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:Must have the ability to weld multiple materials and thicknesses Ability to follow established SOP's and Work Instructions Must know simple math and decimal to fraction conversions Ability to set up machine as required Must be able to follow directions and work in a fast paced, team environment. Must be able to read a tape measurerMust be detail-oriented and thoroughAbility to be self-motivatedAbility to complete required paperwork accuratelyEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent required1-2 years of mig and/or tig welding experience performed on aluminum or stainless Welding certificate preferred Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of standing.Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. *Schaefer's Electrical Enclosures is an equal opportunity employer.
