Part-time warehouse/donation center position at our Verona Store, located at 513 Verona Ave, Verona WI. Part-time hours will be approximately 10-20 hours per week - nights/weekends. Part-time shifts will correspond with open store hours: Monday-Sunday 9am to 7:30pm. Associates must be reliable and work their posted schedule. A set schedule can be set up to accommodate school or other obligations.


Starting wage is $16.74 per hour with increases to at least $17.25 per hour after 6 months. Generous employee purchase program after 30 days.


College Students & retired individuals encouraged to apply.

Must be 18 years old to apply for this position. Priority will be given to those who are available on weekends.


Job summary:

This employee will be a key member of the Thrift Store team, focused on service to the customers, clients and donors, and restocking merchandise as well as handling donations and various other warehouse duties.


Primary duties:

- Provide customer and donor assistance throughout the store: answer questions, anticipate customer's needs, offer help, and encourage sales

- Intake of donations via timely, positive interactions with donors

- Box and load donations onto a trailer

- Keep merchandise clean and in the most saleable condition

- Load donation trailers in a safe and efficient manner

- Assist in unloading incoming trucks from the processing center

- Assist in the sorting of used clothing

Requirements:

  • Part time associates MUST be available to work NIGHTS & WEEKENDS between the hours of 9 am to 7:30pm - 4/6 hour varying shifts.
  • Part time position also available for daytime hours 10am- 3pm, 10am-4pm, or 1pm-6pm shifts.
  • Punctual and work required shifts consistently
  • Able to deal with the public in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Capable of performing all job functions, including sales work, reading and writing sales slips, loading and unloading trucks, performing cleaning duties.
  • Display a willingness to communicate and interact effectively with individuals from diverse cultures, varying abilities, ethnicities, and races.
  • Demonstrate the implementation of best practices as required by the SVdP Safeguarding policy when interacting with children and vulnerable adults.
