Job Title: Manufacturing Applications Engineer
Location: Butler, NJ (On-Site)
Pay: $25–$30 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a Manufacturing Applications Engineer to serve as a key technical resource for customers and distributors regarding manufactured product applications. This role combines engineering expertise, customer interaction, and light sales support to deliver effective technical solutions and maintain strong business relationships.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering or a Manufacturing-related field and be comfortable working in a primarily office-based environment while collaborating closely with sales, production, and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial point of contact for technical inquiries regarding manufactured parts

• Review customer applications and recommend appropriate product solutions

• Answer technical product questions or coordinate with internal engineering teams for resolution

• Prepare and manage formal price quotations, lead times, purchase orders, and order changes

• Assist customers and distributors with product selection

• Maintain customer relationships and support ongoing account management

• Expedite orders and coordinate with production, shipping, and logistics as needed

• Provide verbal pricing and delivery information for standard products

• Support sales and marketing initiatives

• Maintain sales contact management systems

• Assist Engineering and Sales leadership with special projects

• Provide feedback to Engineering for new product development and R&D initiatives

• Participate in relevant industry trade associations as needed

• Perform Customer Service responsibilities when required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing-related field (Required)

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Strong understanding of manufactured product applications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Advanced mathematical and analytical skills (statistical and financial knowledge preferred)

• Strong problem-solving and reasoning abilities

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a customer-facing environment
