Commercial Electrician Helpers & Apprentices
We are very busy and hiring Commercial Electrician Helpers and Apprentices for projects in Jacksonville, Florida.
Pay Rate
$22.00–$25.00 per hour
Pay is based on skill level and experience.
Location: Jacksonville, Florida
Responsibilities
- Assist experienced electricians with commercial electrical installations
- Measure, cut, and bend conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools
- Assist with pulling and routing wire and cable
- Install conduit, boxes, supports, straps, and other electrical components
- Drill holes and pull or push wiring through openings using hand and power tools
- Assist with connecting wiring to electrical components and equipment
- Assist with installation of lighting, devices, fixtures, and electrical equipment
- Perform commercial electrical rough-in and trim-out work
- Assist with underground electrical installations, including digging trenches and installing conduit
- Organize, move, and handle electrical materials and equipment
- Remove and replace electrical components as directed
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Follow instructions from journeymen, foremen, and jobsite supervisors
- Follow all company and jobsite safety procedures
Qualifications
- Commercial electrical construction experience
- Helper or Apprentice-level electrical experience
- Basic knowledge of electrical tools, materials, and installation methods
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Must be available to work Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM at minimum
- Must have required PPE
- Must have basic electrical hand tools
- Reliable transportation
- Must be dependable and able to report to work on time
- Ability to perform physical construction work, including lifting, bending, climbing, and working on your feet throughout the day
