Job Description

Equipment Planner/Project Design Manager

About Egg Medical
Egg Medical is an innovative leader in radiation safety protection technology. Our mission is to protect healthcare professionals from occupational radiation exposure while enabling the delivery of exceptional patient care. Our solutions are installed in complex clinical environments, requiring precision, collaboration, and a deep respect for healthcare workflows.

We are seeking a highly organized, technically adept Equipment Planner/Project Design Manager to oversee the successful planning and execution of radiation protection system installations across hospital fluoroscopic labs nationwide.

Summary

The Equipment Planner/Project Design Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the successful installation of Egg Medical’s radiation protection systems and suspension arms in healthcare facilities. This role serves as the primary coordinator across internal teams, hospital stakeholders, construction partners, and installation vendors.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in medical technology environments, understands hospital construction and clinical settings, can interpret CAD drawings, and excels at managing multiple, competing projects simultaneously—often under tight timelines. This role requires strong communication skills, technical aptitude, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

Project & Installation Management

  • Develop, maintain, and execute detailed project and installation plans, timelines, and resource schedules through final completion.
  • Oversee the delivery and installation of suspension arms and radiation protection equipment in hospital fluoroscopic labs.

Cross-Functional Coordination & Logistics

  • Confidently communicate with construction teams, engineers, installation contractors, and hospital staff to align on scope, timing, and site requirements.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders, schedules, and project updates across sales, operations, logistics, and customer success to ensure seamless execution and installation of multiple concurrent projects.

Technical & Site Readiness

  • Coordinate pre-installation site assessments to identify constraints and ensure alignment with hospital infrastructure.
  • Review and modify CAD drawings as needed to support installation planning and execution.

Compliance, Safety & Quality

  • Promote a culture of safety and quality to ensure all installations comply with hospital protocols, safety standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, site assessments, installation records, and final reports.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.

Experience

  • 3–5 years of project management experience, preferably within medical devices, healthcare technology, healthcare construction, or regulated environments.
  • Demonstrated experience working in hospital or clinical settings.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities simultaneously.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of construction workflows and hospital facility environments.
  • Ability to read, interpret, create, and modify CAD drawings.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello, or similar).
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable leading discussions with construction teams, hospital staff, and executives.
  • Highly proactive, solutions-oriented, and customer-focused.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and ownership—asks thoughtful questions, seeks to understand the “why” behind the work, and proactively identifies opportunities to improve processes, outcomes, and customer experience beyond assigned responsibilities.

Travel

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for site visits, hospital installations, and assessments.
  • Understands that work may occasionally go beyond the 8-5 and include some nights and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with medical device installation or healthcare facility construction.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols, compliance standards, and regulated healthcare environments.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Full-time position with salary range from $95,000-$125,000, depending on experience.
  • Additional bonus/incentive compensation available.
  • Remote or hybrid work environment dependent on candidate’s location.
  • Company laptop provided.
  • Insurance available on the 1st of the month following date of hire, including: health, dental and vision insurance, plus pre-tax or Roth 401k available after 30 days.
  • PTO accrues starting at 15 days, plus 11 company paid holidays.
