Job Description Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (ER)
Facility: Regional Medical Center (RMC) ED
️ Assignment: 13 Weeks
Start Date: August 17, 2026
⏰ Shift: Nights | 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM
⌛ Hours: 36 or 48 hours/week accepted
Trauma Level: Level III Trauma Center
Stroke Center: Level II Stroke Center
Position Overview

Join the Regional Medical Center Emergency Department, a high-volume emergency care environment providing comprehensive emergency medical services to patients of all ages. This 54-bed, state-designated Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center treats more than 60,000 patients annually, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced ER nurse to expand their clinical experience.
You'll work alongside a highly trained team of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff dedicated to providing exceptional emergency care around the clock.
⏰ Schedule & Flexibility

3:00 PM – 3:00 AM

36 or 48 hours per week accepted

Every other weekend required

Holidays required as needed

Block scheduling may be accommodated

Potential block schedules include:

Friday/Saturday/Sunday

Saturday/Sunday/Monday

Locals accepted — no rate difference

OT begins after 48 hours, regardless of whether the contracted schedule is 36 or 48 hours/week
Required Certifications
Candidates must have all required certifications:
-
AHA BLS ,**AHA ACLS ,****PALS ,****NIHSS,****TNCC REQUIRED **
Experience & Education Requirements
-
ASN degree required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred
-
Candidates with 18 months of experience may be considered if they:
-
Have been working under the highest level of their professional license
-
Have at least 1 year of experience in the specialty
-

Strong recent Emergency Department experience required
-
Must demonstrate strong emergency assessment, critical-thinking, trauma, and patient-management skills
License Requirements

Active Alabama RN license OR Compact RN license
-
No temporary licenses accepted
