Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) SpecialistEnvironmental Compliance Focus | Manufacturing
Help lead the environmental compliance efforts for a growing manufacturing facility expanding with a new robotic welding cell and industrial paint booth.
This is an excellent opportunity for an EHS professional whose strength is environmental compliance while also supporting plant safety initiatives.
We're seeking someone who understands the regulatory requirements surrounding manufacturing processes involving paint systems, welding operations, air emissions, and hazardous waste management. Safety remains an important part of the role, but environmental compliance will be a primary area of responsibility.
What You'll DoEnvironmental Compliance
- Manage environmental compliance for paint booth and welding operations
- Monitor and maintain air emissions compliance
- Oversee hazardous waste handling, storage, and disposal
- Ensure compliance with EPA and state environmental regulations
- Support environmental inspections, audits, and regulatory reporting
- Assist with permitting and documentation as needed
Safety & EHS
- Maintain OSHA compliance programs
- Conduct safety inspections and audits
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Maintain OSHA 300 logs and required documentation
- Support machine guarding and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) programs
- Lead employee safety training and continuous improvement initiatives
- Partner with plant leadership to strengthen the site's safety culture
What We're Looking For
We're especially interested in candidates who have experience supporting manufacturing facilities with environmental compliance responsibilities.
Ideal experience includes:
- Paint booth operations
- Air emissions compliance
- Welding fume controls
- Hazardous waste management
- EPA environmental regulations
- Manufacturing environmental reporting
Additional qualifications:
- Experience in EHS within a manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Experience conducting incident investigations
- Excellent documentation and regulatory reporting skills
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field
- Experience supporting welding and industrial paint processes
- Experience preparing for environmental or OSHA audits
