- Provide armed security services to safeguard Department of Labor (DOL) facilities, personnel, and visitors
- Control access to federal buildings by verifying credentials, badges, and visitor authorizations
- Conduct security screenings using magnetometers, x-ray machines, and other detection equipment (as applicable)
- Perform interior and exterior patrols to identify potential security risks, hazards, or suspicious activity
- Monitor and operate security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and access control systems
- Respond effectively to incidents, emergencies, and alarms, including medical situations and security threats
- Prepare accurate and detailed incident reports, daily logs, and written documentation in compliance with federal standards
- Enforce all federal regulations, post orders, and site-specific procedures
- Coordinate with federal agencies, local law enforcement, and emergency responders when required
- Maintain proficiency and safe handling of issued firearms and security equipment at all times
- Support emergency response procedures, including evacuations, lockdowns, and continuity protocols
- Provide professional and courteous customer service while interacting with government personnel and the public
Qualifications DOL (Delegated)Candidate Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years old andMust possess a high school diploma or General Education Certificate (GED)Must be U.S. CitizenMust fluently speak, read, comprehend and compose coherent written reports in EnglishMust have firearms experienceMust have one of the following experience levels listed: (1) Three years security experience (2) Three years military experience, (3) Completion of state certified Law Enforcement Education (4) Completion of a Police Officer’s Standard Training CourseAdditional Eligibility Qualifications:
- The applicant is required to submit to pre-employment medical exam and drug screening.
- The applicant must be able to pass an NLIC / State / Local Background check and Credit check (as applicable).
- The applicant must obtain client/site suitability approval
