About the Role
As a Precision Diagnostic Navigator specializing in Hereditary Cancer Testing, you will support patients through critical stages of their diagnostic journey. Based in the Summerlin, NV area, you'll provide education, coordinate care, and assist with phlebotomy. You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary clinical team to ensure a seamless, supportive, and professional patient experience.
The successful candidate will have prior experience working together with front desk staff, site management, and clinical teams—demonstrating a high level of collaboration, communication, and teamwork. Our ideal candidate brings experience in medical assisting, phlebotomy, insurance verification, and healthcare office management.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide education and support for high-risk patients undergoing genetic testing.
- Register patients, schedule follow-up appointments, and ensure accurate documentation.
- Build patient trust and confidence through clear, compassionate communication.
- Perform blood draws and specimen collection with precision and professionalism (~5–10% of role, with potential to expand).
- Accurately verify and label patient specimens at the time of collection.
- Maintain documentation, patient records, and uphold HIPAA compliance.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming clinical environment.
- Collaborate with the clinical team and area supervisor to complete daily tasks efficiently.
- Demonstrate strong relationship-building skills with partner site staff to ensure smooth handoffs and achievement of key performance metrics.
- Serve as a key patient contact, embodying HALO's commitment to precision care and early detection.

- Experience with genetic counseling
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years prior experience as a Medical Assistant working within a clinical team.
- Insurance verification and authorization experience (2+ years).
- National Certified Phlebotomist or LPN/RN with strong blood collection experience.
- Current BLS certification.
- Strong phlebotomy skills, including venipuncture for genetic testing.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple sites.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
Preferred
- Registered/Certified Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA).
- 2+ years of experience in a Patient Service Center or similar outpatient environment.
- Front office management experience.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role within a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency with data entry and patient systems (EMR/EHR).

Schedule: 8-hour shift | Monday–Friday
Pay: $30 – $50.00 / hour, based on experience and skills
