Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Medical Malpractice Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will focus on representing clients who have suffered due to medical negligence. This role requires a deep understanding of medical malpractice law, strong litigation skills, and the ability to negotiate favorable settlements for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in medical malpractice cases in court and during negotiations
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare legal documents, including briefs and pleadings
  • Manage all phases of litigation, from trial preparation to courtroom representation
  • Collaborate with medical experts and coordinate expert witness testimony
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing parties to achieve the best outcomes for clients
  • Maintain detailed case files and manage case timelines effectively
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and medical terminology related to malpractice
  • Engage in client consultations to understand their cases and provide legal advice

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in the MD, PA, DC, or VA
  • Proven experience in medical malpractice law and litigation
  • Strong negotiation and client representation skills
  • Excellent legal writing and research abilities
  • Ability to understand and apply medical terminology in legal contexts
  • Experience in case management and handling multiple cases simultaneously
  • Demonstrated courtroom experience and trial preparation skills
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and nursing home liability issues
