Technology Support Specialist – PSAP / ECC Systems

Position Summary

A public safety communications operation in Washington, DC is seeking a Technology Support Specialist to support the maintenance and operation of mission-critical communications technology. This role ensures the reliability and functionality of systems supporting PSAP/ECC operations, including radio and IT infrastructure.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for PSAP/ECC hardware and software systems
• Assist with operation, monitoring, and maintenance of radio and IT systems
• Troubleshoot system issues and support resolution efforts
• Document system performance, incidents, and maintenance activities
• Support technology upgrades, testing, and implementation projects
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure system availability and reliability

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience supporting technology systems

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Knowledge of PSAP/ECC hardware and software environments
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and system utilities
• Basic understanding of planning and modeling concepts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly
• Solid IT foundation; coursework in Information Systems or Business Administration preferred
