Watershed Security is looking for an Experienced Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join our growing team in Washington, DC. Be part of a multifaceted team providing RMF ISSO Support to the Coast Guard. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting IT Systems, and achieving and maintaining ATOs. Multiple Positions are available at levels one, two and three (see below for more information)
Analyzes and defines security requirements. Performs risk analysis and security control assessment and audit services, develops analytical reports as required. May be required to perform or assist in one or more of the following areas: Risk and Vulnerability Assessments; scanning; assessment of system security for compliance of applications; security of computer network hardware; operating system utility/support software; disaster recovery; incident response; application assessment; vulnerability threat management; cloud security; contingency planning; social engineering; and the development of security procedures. Possess and apply expertise on multiple complex work assignments.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Education:
- Level 1/2: Associates degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or other related discipline.
- Level 3: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or other related discipline.
- Certifications:
- Level 1/2 CGRC or CASP+ or CCISO or CCSP or CISM or CISSP or Cloud+ or SSCP or CSSLP
- Level 3: CISSP-ISSMP or GSLC
- Years of relevant experience
- Level 1: 1 years
- Level 2: 3 Years
- Level 3: 5 Years
- Demonstrated experience in discerning the protection needs of information systems, networks, and platform information technology; Demonstrated experience in applying the principles of confidentiality, integrity, and availability; Demonstrated experience implementing the RMF process especially for system categorization and control selection, implementation, and assessment, as well as continuous monitoring.
- Core Knowledge of:
- Risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk)
- National and international laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity
- Cybersecurity principles
- Cyber threats and vulnerabilities
- Computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies
- Specific operational impacts of cybersecurity lapses
- Active Secret Clearance required
- Work is onsite in Greater DC Metro Area Monday – Friday 8am -4.30pm EST
PAY RANGE
Final salary is influenced by factors such as location, contract labor categories, experience, skills, education, and certifications. Watershed offers competitive compensation, medical and dental benefits, educational reimbursement, 401K plans with matching, 15 days of PTO to start and 11 paid holidays per year. The proposed salary range for this position is: $86,000 - $137,000 USD
