Job Overview
The individual will be a vital part of the surgical team, operating under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. They will collaborate with both the surgeon and the RN to provide patient care and take on appropriate responsibilities before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an OR Technician training program
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong proficiency in scrubbing for various service lines, including robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to make calls, demonstrate flexibility, multitask, and work independently
Certifications and Licenses Required
- Certified Surgical Technician (required)
- NBSTSA Certification (required)
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification from the American Heart Association (required)
Scheduling Requirements
- 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
- Full Time
- Alternating weekends, holidays, and call coverage
