Applications Engineer | Kentwood, MI
Salary Range: $81,000 - $121,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Kentwood that are seeking Applications Engineers. Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for manufacturing applications and systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to production software and hardware.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define application requirements and specifications.
- Develop and implement solutions for optimizing manufacturing processes.
- Configure and maintain manufacturing execution systems (MES) and related applications.
- Participate in the testing and validation of new software releases and system upgrades.
- Create and maintain documentation for applications, procedures, and system configurations.
- Train end-users on new applications and system functionalities.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in applications engineering, technical sales, or field support within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and industrial control systems.
- Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide technical solutions to complex challenges.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and industrial automation systems.
- Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) software.
- Knowledge of data acquisition and analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL) for manufacturing data.
- CAD/CAM software proficiency (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam).
- Experience with robotics or other advanced manufacturing technologies.
