Senior Systems Analyst
Job Summary
B&A is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Analyst to support the development, implementation, and enhancement of complex, secure application systems. The ideal candidate will bring over 10 years of experience with system architecture, application analysis, and development, particularly in healthcare IT and service-oriented architecture (SOA). This role involves working closely with stakeholders to analyze business needs, define technical requirements, and support the deployment of enterprise-level solutions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex business and system processes to identify functional and technical requirements.
- Design and implement SOA-based architectures and web services to support secure enterprise applications.
- Lead the development and implementation of automated health information systems, ensuring compliance with security and privacy requirements.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and business analysts to create and validate proof-of-concepts for new application features and system enhancements.
- Develop and maintain health-related applications in alignment with industry standards and best practices.
- Support the integration and implementation of large-scale OpenText products within enterprise environments.
- Conduct systems testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure high reliability and performance.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- 10+ years of professional experience in systems analysis and application development.
Required Skills
- Extensive experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and web services development.
- Proven experience in automating secure health information systems.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and develop supporting documentation.
- Strong understanding of application security, data integrity, and interoperability in healthcare systems.
- Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
Desired Skills
- Prior experience in developing and supporting health-related applications.
- Experience with OpenText Content Suite, Extended ECM, or other OpenText platforms at an enterprise scale.
- Knowledge of healthcare standards and protocols (e.g., HL7, FHIR, HIPAA compliance).
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with federal healthcare IT systems and environments (e.g., VA, DoD).
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Security Clearance
- Eligible to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
