Job DescriptionLHH is proud to partner with a great firm in Newport Beach in their search for an experienced Litigation Assistant to join a high-performing legal team supporting IP and SEC attorneys. This is a fully onsite role offering strong professional growth and day-one benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare litigation documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, discovery requests/responses, and legal memoranda.
- E-file documents in state and federal courts (paper filing when required)
- Identify and submit materials for docketing, including all court and case deadlines
- Maintain and monitor assigned deadlines and calendars
- Assist with reviewing, organizing, and summarizing case materials.
- Prepare matrices, charts, spreadsheets, and privilege logs.
- Create, revise, and proofread legal documents with high accuracy.
- Support trial and arbitration preparation.
- Maintain billable time records.
- Use document management systems including Microsoft Office and NetDocs.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree and/or ABA-approved paralegal certificate preferred.
- Prior litigation experience as a legal secretary or junior paralegal strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in federal and state e-filing required
- Strong understanding of court rules, procedures, and legal terminology.
- Ability to work professionally with clients, courts, and internal teams.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint, and NetDocs.

- This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients. Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the salary range is estimated to be $80,000 to $105,000 annual salary and benefits may include medical, dental, vision, and 401k plans.
