JOB BRIEF
This position primarily serves as a Maintenance Technician, responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep to ensure the smooth operation of the companys facilities. In addition, this role provides secondary support to warehouse operations by assisting with logistics, inventory handling, and order processing as needed.
ROLE OBJECTIVE
To maintain a safe, fully functional, and well-maintained facility by performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs as a Maintenance Technician. Additionally, to support warehouse operations by assisting with inventory control, order processing, and shipping activities, helping to ensure efficient and accurate logistics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Administrative Duties (Primary Focus):
- Perform routine maintenance and light repairs on office facilities, fixtures, furniture, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs involving plumbing, HVAC, or coordinate with licensed vendors as needed.
- Replace light bulbs, tighten loose hardware, patch minor drywall damage, and address leaky pipes or fixtures.
- Monitor building systems and report any major maintenance or safety issues.
- Support the scheduling of preventive maintenance and contribute to the companys emergency preparedness and facility safety plans.
- Assist with setup and cleanup for company events, meetings, and facility activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace in accordance with facility safety guidelines.
Warehouse Support Duties (Secondary Focus):
- Assist with receiving, pulling, restocking, and shipping orders as directed.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders; upload and validate serial numbers as needed.
- Confirm billing, shipping details, and address accuracy on sales orders.
- Follow the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method for inventory stocking and rotation.
- Support inventory counts by ensuring correct item placement and condition.
- Assist with picking, packing, and shipping customer orders using FedEx, UPS, DHL, and trucking services.
- Maintain compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate of Applied Science (A.S.) or trade school certification preferred.
- Minimum 12 years of relevant maintenance or facilities experience; prior warehouse experience is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC).
- Familiarity with hand and power tools, safety procedures, and basic repair techniques.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic math and computer skills (e.g., email, Excel, shipment software).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, climbing, or bending for extended periods.
