Robert Half is partnering with a growing organization to identify an experienced Contract Paralegal to support a high‑volume capital recovery and claims process. This role focuses on reviewing damage claims, assessing liability, and supporting recovery and litigation efforts under attorney supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review damage and claims files, including photos, reports, and supporting documentation
- Evaluate facts and assist with initial liability and fault assessments
- Draft demand letters and professional correspondence to third parties
- Support settlement negotiations under attorney direction
- Track recoveries and assist with intake of settlement payments
- Coordinate with outside counsel on escalated matters and litigation support
- Assist with discovery responses, document production, and case tracking
- Provide general legal operations support, including legal mail, invoices, and file management
- Coordinate execution of legal documents and support regulatory or land‑re
Qualifications:
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience required; bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of paralegal experience, ideally in claims, insurance subrogation, litigation support, or recovery work
- Experience reviewing and managing case files independently
- Strong drafting and written communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment
- Notary Public preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
