Job DescriptionSalary: $18 Hourly
The retail position is responsible for daily transactions for AWCC visitors in the gift shop. Retail duties include but are not limited to greeting visitors, entering customer purchases in POS, cash handling, daily cleaning, handling a high volume of guests, restocking merchandise, price tagging inventory, answering guests questions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, AND
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with other employees.
- Skill in operating POS computer software.
- One-year retail sales/cash handling and customer service experience.
- One-year customer service experience.
Working Conditions
Constant sitting/standing with public interaction and communication; must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds. The environment is dusty with a need for constant cleaning. At times, Portage Valley can receive very high winds and prolonged amounts of rainfall. This is a non-smoking, non-vaping facility.
Hiring for the following Time Frame: 2026 Summer Season, generally Mid-April through Mid-August. Potential to stay on staff through the end of October.
