Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Litigation Legal Assistant to support a high-performing team of litigation attorneys at a reputable boutique firm in Coral Gables.

This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong organizational and communication skills, and is committed to providing top-tier legal support in complex matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage attorney calendars, including deadlines, hearings, and meetings

  • Maintain and organize legal files — both electronic and physical

  • Schedule depositions, hearings, and client meetings

  • Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence and legal documents

  • Assist with the preparation of pleadings, motions, and trial exhibits

  • Coordinate court filings, ensuring compliance with local rules and formatting

  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors

  • Conduct light legal research and compile relevant background information

  • Provide general administrative support such as copying, scanning, and document management

  • Anticipate attorneys’ needs and support ongoing case activities

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree, paralegal certificate, or 5+ years of legal administrative experience

  • Strong command of legal terminology and litigation procedures

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication

  • High level of discretion when handling confidential matters

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software tools (Westlaw, LexisNexis a plus)

  • Prior experience in a litigation-focused role preferred
