Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Litigation Legal Assistant to support a high-performing team of litigation attorneys at a reputable boutique firm in Coral Gables.
This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong organizational and communication skills, and is committed to providing top-tier legal support in complex matters.
Key Responsibilities

Manage attorney calendars, including deadlines, hearings, and meetings

Maintain and organize legal files — both electronic and physical

Schedule depositions, hearings, and client meetings

Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence and legal documents

Assist with the preparation of pleadings, motions, and trial exhibits

Coordinate court filings, ensuring compliance with local rules and formatting

Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors

Conduct light legal research and compile relevant background information

Provide general administrative support such as copying, scanning, and document management

Anticipate attorneys’ needs and support ongoing case activities
Qualifications

Associate’s degree, paralegal certificate, or 5+ years of legal administrative experience

Strong command of legal terminology and litigation procedures

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

Clear and professional written and verbal communication

High level of discretion when handling confidential matters

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software tools (Westlaw, LexisNexis a plus)

Prior experience in a litigation-focused role preferred
