Job DescriptionJob Overview:

  • Support manufacturing quality and process improvement initiatives through inspection, analysis, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Ensure product quality, process consistency, and compliance with manufacturing standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive defect reduction and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality inspections at critical control points using appropriate measurement tools and techniques.
  • Develop and maintain quality check procedures, including inspection criteria and acceptance standards.
  • Manage control charts and Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems to monitor process capability.
  • Establish and maintain manufacturing feedback loops to communicate quality issues and corrective actions.
  • Conduct incoming material inspections and supplier quality audits to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Design and implement jigs and fixtures for accurate and repeatable inspections.
  • Track scrap, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Document quality data and prepare reports for management and customer review.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with precision measurement tools and inspection techniques.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and control chart management.
  • Understanding of quality management systems and corrective action processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills using structured methods such as 5-Why or fishbone analysis.
  • Ability to identify defects and variations in materials, dimensions, and finishes.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with production teams and suppliers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in metal fabrication or assembly environments.
  • Experience conducting supplier audits and managing quality improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes such as roll forming, bending, and cutting.
  • Exposure to startup, scale-up, or innovation-driven manufacturing environments.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.
