This role involves supporting attorneys in estate and trust administration by preparing legal documents, conducting research, and ensuring accurate asset valuation. Responsibilities:
• Assist in identifying, evaluating, and organizing assets to support estate and trust administration.
• Prepare detailed accounting reports for both estates and trusts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Complete federal and state estate tax returns, including the federal estate tax return and other applicable filings.
• Collaborate with attorneys to interpret wills and trust agreements, ensuring proper implementation and funding of trusts.
• Conduct basic legal research using reference materials and various resources to support case preparation.
• Draft and review probate documents, ensuring they meet legal standards and guidelines.
• Maintain effective communication with clients and attorneys to address inquiries and provide updates on case progress.• Proven experience in estate and trust administration, including asset valuation and probate processes.
• Proficiency in preparing estate tax returns, both federal and state.
• Familiarity with case management software and tools.
• Strong knowledge of wills, trusts, and estate planning documentation.
• Ability to perform legal research and interpret complex legal agreements.
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, ensuring smooth coordination with attorneys and clients.
