Why Ian's Pizza?

  • Minimum Guarantee of $21.50/hour: At the end of the pay period, if your base wage ($16.50/hour + $2/hour additional for any time after 10pm) and tips have not averaged to at least $21.50/hour, we will pay the rest. You are guaranteed to earn at least $21.50/hour, but you can earn more than that! Most Department Managers average $21.50-$24.50/hour. Tips are paid at the end of each shift, and all other wages are paid on your paycheck (biweekly). Additionally, any work above 40 hours a week is paid as overtime, and you are also eligible for the annual profit-sharing bonus.

Delivery Manager Job Duties and Expectations

As the Delivery Manager, your main job is to ensure the successful and efficient operation of your department! You assist the GM and AGM(s) in ensuring the tools and procedures are in place and used by all department staff for successful operations. Training the general staff in your department and doing their reviews will also be a large part of your role! You will be expected to provide input on staffing, staff performance, and scheduling.

While Managers are heavily involved in the operations of their department, they also have some administrative duties including staff and management meetings, responding to staff messages, working on projects as assigned/approved by the GM or AGM(s), etc.

Delivery Manager Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience as a Supervisor or Shift Leader in the food and beverage industry. Specific experience in Delivery is required.
  • Cross-trained and regularly able to perform all positions below the Supervisor (Front of House, Cook, Shift Lead) within 6 months.

  • Able to motivate others to always put in their best effort, and hold all staff accountable to high standards of food quality, customer service, and cleanliness.
  • Exercise good judgment, problem-solving, and initiative to get things done and plan ahead.
  • Maintain a good attitude, high levels of awareness, and direct, kind communication, especially in situations that require quick action.
  • Able to keep organized, set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Must complete a food safety certification course within 6 months.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods. To bend, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs. To use ovens, pizza cutters, and other equipment of the business.
  • Ability to use or learn to use administrative tools such as Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Sheets, etc.
  • English language proficiency is required. Bilingual in Spanish is a major plus!
  • Reliable transportation to and from the restaurant for a variety of shift times, including mornings, afternoons, and nights.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle, a clean (or near clean) driving record, a valid US drivers license, and proof of car insurance.

Delivery Manager Scheduling

This position is hourly with the expectation to work 35-40 hours per week: 30-35 hours in Operations and 5-10 hours towards Administrative work. Any work above 40 hours a week is paid as overtime. Your schedule is posted 2-4 weeks at a time, depending on location.

Weekend and evening availability is required! As a leader in the restaurant, you will work with the leadership team to be available for emergencies and help find coverage or cover shifts in your department as needed.
