Givens Great Laurels is looking for a Leasing Consultant to support one of our Affordable Communities located in Waynesville,NC! As the Leasing Consultant, your primary responsibility is to maintain a professional and friendly atmosphere while conducting all business ventures. The purpose of this role is to manage all aspects of the leasing and turnover process in regards to inspections, wait-lists, and all leasing communications.
What you'll do:
- Inspects models and "market ready" vacancies daily to ensure cleanliness
- Greets prospective residents, qualifies, determines needs and preferences, professionally, presents community and specific apartments while communicating features and benefits
- Prepares and qualifies applicants for manager’s approval
- Inspects apartments including models, market readies, and move-ins
- Correctly completes all lease applications, assists with application verification and notifies prospective residents of results. Prepares miscellaneous resident communication as needed
- Assists in preparing newsletter and renewal lease letters
- Assists Community Manager in preparation of daily and weekly reports, resident communications, move-out inventory, market surveys, etc.
- Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor
What you'll need:
- High School or GED equivalent is required, while Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- HUD/Tax Credit/Affordable Housing Certifications preferred
- Fair Housing and Section 504/ADA certification desired, or willing to obtain once hired
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with residents, the public and co-workers
- Word Processing software experience required. Spreadsheet software, property management software, internet experience desired
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to prepare/draft professional correspondence
Compensation is based on background and experience, and includes our comprehensive benefits package
