Job Description

TMC Staffing is seeking an experienced Press Operator for a leading global provider of marketing, packaging, print, and supply chain solutions. We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented professional with a strong background in offset printing, press setup, quality control, and equipment maintenance.

Shift Schedule:

Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: 12-hour shifts with rotating days, including weekends

Job Responsibilities

Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain press equipment to meet production requirements.
Perform all make-ready tasks, including hanging plates, installing cylinders, inspecting plates and cylinders for imperfections, verifying image positioning, preparing blankets, and adjusting tension and registration.
Make color corrections and press adjustments before and during production runs to ensure printed materials meet established quality specifications.
Monitor print quality throughout production and make necessary adjustments to maintain consistency.
Clean, lubricate, and maintain press equipment, including replacing worn or broken parts and performing minor repairs as needed.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
Review job specifications to determine the appropriate press settings, materials, and equipment for each job.
Follow all safety procedures and production standards.

Qualifications

Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, specifications, equipment, and safety requirements.
Ability to read and interpret job specifications and determine the appropriate press settings, materials, and equipment needed for successful production.
Experience making precise press adjustments to controls, settings, and registration.
Knowledge of printing pressure and packing requirements to achieve quality printing results.
Ability to use a micrometer to properly mount and align printing plates.
Experience performing routine equipment maintenance and minor repairs.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to print quality.
Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule, including weekends.
