Job Title: Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP) - (ABH)
Location: Residential BH Personal Home, Bethlehem, PA 18017
Contract Duration: 11 Weeks
Compensation rate: Up to $16.60/h DOE
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with behavioral health needs in a residential setting. This position will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and personal development of residents during overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct care and support to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) including grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.

Monitor and assist with medication administration according to prescribed schedules.

Ensure the safety of all residents by responding to emergencies and implementing appropriate interventions.

Support residents in managing behavioral health needs, including emotional support, de-escalation techniques, and promoting positive behaviors.

Complete necessary documentation, including progress notes and incident reports, in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

Foster an environment of respect, dignity, and compassion for residents.

Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other staff to ensure the development and implementation of individualized care plans.

Maintain a clean and safe environment, performing light housekeeping duties as needed.
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required; additional education or certifications in social services or related field is a plus.

Previous experience in direct support or healthcare settings is preferred, especially in residential care or behavioral health environments.

Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members.

Knowledge of safety procedures, emergency protocols, and de-escalation techniques.

Reliable and dependable with the ability to work overnight shifts (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
