This is a Sherman Associates owned Marriott International, Inc franchised location.

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring there is an adequate supply of linen available to meet the demand of the hotel.

Schedule: We are currently seeking part-time availability to include both weekdays and weekends from 5:00PM - 10:00PM.

Pay: $16.00 - $16.50/hour. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position; including experience, skills, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.

Essential Functions

  • Receives dirty linen from housekeeping staff and separates linens and towels by type
  • Washes, dry's and folds laundry following proper procedures
  • Maintains the organization of the laundry room
  • Follows all safety and OSHA regulations and other applicable state and local regulations
  • Tracks and reports linen shortages, damages or other discrepancies to appropriate manager
  • Maintains product quality standards by inspecting and properly treating stained or torn linens



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • No prior housekeeping experience required. Customer service experience in the hospitality industry strongly preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions in a multi-lingual environment

  • Schedule may vary due to the specific needs of the portfolio
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws regarding health and safety services

WORKENVIRONMENT

· While performing the duties of this job, theemployee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, movingmechanical parts and vibration

· The employee is occasionally exposed to avariety of extreme conditions at construction job sites

· The noise level in the work environment andjob sites can be loud

· Exposure to/handling of biological substancessuch as blood, urine, and vomit

PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS

· Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reachother departments of the hotel on a timely basis

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular andcontinuing basis

· Must be able to push and pull carts and equipmentweighing up to 200-lbs. on a regular and continuing basis

· Requires frequent kneeling, squatting, grasping,writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing,listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
