Job Description
TITLE: Retail Associate
DEPARTMENT: Retail
STATUS: Full Time or Part Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt Position
REPORTS TO: Retail Lead and/or Retail Operations Director
JOB SUMMARY: Work in a retail thrift store environment providing excellent customer service. Support a variety of roles within the scope of the retail operation including sorting, merchandising, pricing, and cashiering. Work in partnership with volunteers as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet and acknowledge each guest with warmth and sincerity.
- Follow proper cash handling procedures as defined by store leadership.
- Stock shelves and displays with merchandise as provided.
- Clean and prepare merchandise for sale, including pricing.
- Sort through merchandise as it comes in from other areas to determine salability.
- Ensure store is kept neat, clean, and orderly by following a daily checklist.
- Uphold and advance the values, ethics, and mission of Love, Inc.
- Serve as a positive representative for Love, Inc., treating internal and external guests with respect, courtesy, and fairness.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Retail experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills required. Self-motivated and ability to work independently or in a team environment with minimal supervision. Computer, cash register, and math skills required. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
