This role will focus on designing visually appealing Power BI dashboards that provide actionable insights to internal teams and external clients across all facets of Human Capital Management (HCM).

You will work closely with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Workers’ Compensation, and client service stakeholders to translate business needs into data-driven stories. The ideal candidate combines deep Power BI expertise, strong communication skills, and, ideally, HR data literacy, delivering compelling analytics that drive tangible business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports supporting HR, Payroll, Benefits, and Workers’ Compensation analytics, among others.
  • Continuously improve dashboard usability, interactivity, and accuracy based on stakeholder feedback and analytics best practices.
  • Leverage Microsoft Fabric and Power BI Service to publish, automate, and secure dashboards for client and executive access.
  • Create and optimize data models using DAX and Power Query (M), integrating data from necessary sources.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Account Management teams to define requirements, KPIs, and visual storytelling approaches that align with client goals.
  • Present insights to executive stakeholders, clients, and business users, simplifying technical findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Perform data validation, trend analysis, and exception reporting to ensure data integrity and improve decision quality.
  • Partner with IT and data engineering teams to enhance pipelines, monitor refresh schedules, and maintain performance and security standards.
  • Contribute to the development of the analytics dashboard suite.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience designing and delivering analytics in Power BI.

Skills & Competencies

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Dataflows, and OneLake environments.
  • Familiarity with Azure, Python, or SQL for workflow integration.
  • Understanding of HCM analytics concepts such as employee lifecycle, cost per hire, and risk analysis.
  • Consulting or client-facing analytics experience in HR, Payroll, or Professional Employer Organization (PEO) settings.
  • Customer-focused communicator with a consultative mindset.
  • Strong sense of ownership and curiosity about workforce data.
  • A collaborative team player is comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
  • Creative thinker who can translate data into meaningful, visual stories.

Work Environment

This position is primarily office-based, with work performed on a computer in either a corporate office or a remote home office setting. The role may require using telephones, participating in virtual or in-person meetings, attending company events, and completing training sessions. The environment is designed to be accessible and inclusive, and reasonable accommodations will be provided as needed to support individuals with disabilities.
