We are seeking a Buyer to support Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams through the procurement and management of materials and supplier relationships. This role is responsible for ensuring material availability, supporting production requirements, maintaining inventory levels, and driving improvements in quality, delivery, and cost performance.

Responsibilities

  • Issue purchase orders and plan material requirements to support production and customer demand.
  • Monitor and resolve past-due orders, delivery issues, and expediting needs.
  • Maintain accurate item data, including lead times, pricing, and inventory parameters.
  • Manage material supply and inventory levels to support manufacturing operations.
  • Coordinate engineering change orders with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Analyze supply chain issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Support inventory reduction and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve supplier performance and materials management processes.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or materials planning.
  • Experience with ERP systems; SAP preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, purchasing processes, and supplier coordination.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory control, supplier management, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Experience supporting engineering change processes is a plus.

Work Environment

This position works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams in a collaborative manufacturing environment. The role supports day-to-day purchasing activities, supplier communications, and material planning efforts to ensure operational and production goals are met.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Marietta, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $33.00/hr.
