Milwaukee Electronics is a privately held, family-owned Electronics Manufacturing Services company with more than 70 years of engineering and manufacturing excellence. In addition to our core EMS business, our Products Division focuses on motion, automation, and material handling solutions, including our UniDrive platform.
We are building products that operate in real-world industrial environments, where reliability, performance, and scalability matter. This role is critical to advancing our engineering capability and expanding our product footprint globally.
The Role, At a Glance
- Executive-level leadership role overseeing the Products Group engineering organization
- Owns engineering strategy, technical direction, and product development execution
- Leads development of motor-driven automation products used in industrial and material handling applications
- Requires deep expertise in industrial motor design and motion systems
- Drives alignment between product strategy, engineering execution, and global manufacturing scalability
- Builds and scales high-performing engineering teams across a growing, multi-site environment
- Provides hands-on technical leadership across system architecture, motor integration, and performance optimization
- Partners cross-functionally with Product Management, Operations, and executive leadership
- Reports directly to the VP of Products
What You’ll Do
- Define and execute engineering strategy aligned with product and business objectives
- Lead full lifecycle product development from concept through production and support
- Drive development of motor-driven systems used in automation and material handling applications
- Provide technical leadership across system architecture, motor integration, and performance optimization
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing engineering organization
- Ensure engineering processes scale effectively across global manufacturing environments
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience leading product-focused engineering teams
- Strong background in industrial motor design and motion systems
- Experience developing or integrating motor-driven products (automation, conveyors, or similar industrial applications)
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on when needed
- Experience scaling engineering teams and processes in a growing organization
Nice to Have
- Experience with brushless motor (BLDC) technologies, including design, control, or integration
- Background in material handling, conveyors, or industrial automation systems
- Experience working across global or multi-site manufacturing environments
