Job Description

Job DescriptionBring Ideas to Life in Eau Claire, WI

Imagine taking a promising concept, shaping it with DFM principles, aligning cross-functional teams, and seeing it validated on the production floor—all while guiding customers on pricing and delivery. As a Technical Project Engineer, you’ll make that journey repeatable, reliable, and fast.

Role Mission

Lead the technical trajectory of product development projects from concept through production, ensuring timelines, quality, and costs stay on target. You’ll interface directly with customers and internal partners to align plans, resources, and outcomes.

How You’ll Lead

  • Direct all technical aspects of projects from inception to production with on-time delivery.
  • Partner closely with planning, design, supply chain, and operations to define scope, goals, and clear deliverables.
  • Own NPI execution: be the go-between for design engineering and operations; ensure manufacturing readiness, process qualification, and production validation are completed.
  • Develop cost models, create process routings, and build quotations; communicate pricing and delivery expectations that meet competitiveness and target gross margins.
  • Prepare and present documentation—project reports, schedules, and technical specifications—to stakeholders and customers.
  • Monitor progress and performance, escalating risks and sharing regular updates.
  • Introduce best practices and continuous improvement to raise execution efficiency.

What Sets You Up for Success

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial) or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in project engineering or a similar manufacturing role.
  • Strong command of project management methods and tools.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Proficiency with project management software and engineering toolchains.
  • Detail focus, analytical rigor, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Capacity to manage multiple simultaneous projects and meet deadlines.

Technical Edge

  • Core proficiency: Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
  • CAD experience: SolidWorks, Pro-E / Creo

If guiding products from concept to validated production—and owning the numbers that make it viable—sounds like your next challenge, we’d like to meet you.
