Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Criminal Defense Attorney to represent clients in criminal matters, ensuring their legal rights are protected and advocating for their best interests in court. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trial and litigation, with a passion for defending the accused.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in criminal trials and hearings
  • Prepare and file motions and legal documents
  • Conduct thorough investigations related to criminal cases
  • Develop and implement defense strategies for clients facing misdemeanor and felony charges
  • Advocate for clients' rights and interests during negotiations and plea deals
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of criminal laws and legal precedents
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals and support staff as needed

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
  • Proven experience in criminal defense, with a focus on trial and litigation
  • Strong understanding of criminal law and legal procedures
  • Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
