We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to work on-site in Washington DC. This position requires an active Top Secret SCI clearance.
Overview:
This position requires a dedicated and experienced professional with a strong background in network and server operations, helpdesk support, and information security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain the Department's national security network infrastructure and systems
- Provide responsive end-user helpdesk support for national security systems
- Conduct RMF (Risk Management Framework) security assessment and authorization activities in accordance with client policy
- Participate in national security system security incident response activities
Minimum Requirements:
- Clearance: Active Top Secret with eligibility for TS/SCI
- Certifications: Must hold at least one of the following:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA)
- Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP)
- Or higher Cisco professional certification
Experience:
- Option 1: Minimum of 10 years of directly related experience in network engineering
OR - Option 2: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related scientific or technical field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills:
- Experience supporting secure government or national security systems
- Familiarity with policies and RMF processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a classified environment
Physical and Mental Qualifications:
- Maintain focus and awareness throughout scheduled working hours.
- Perform tasks requiring prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk, utilizing a computer, mouse, and keyboard.
- Lift and move objects weighing up to 15 pounds as needed.
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
- Quickly learn and retain routine tasks and processes.
- Possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, business correspondence proficiency, and self-management capabilities.
