Wong Fleming is a nationally recognized, woman and minority owned, law firm in Redmond, WA. Wong Fleming is a fast paced, team-oriented firm. We are looking to immediately fill a position in our family law department.
Overall, each associate position is intended to be a challenging experience for someone looking to be a highly effective family law or immigration attorney. You will be expected to handle all aspects of your case assigned to you.
The positions offered require a law degree (J.D.) and a minimum of 2-5 years of experience as an attorney and you must be licensed to practice law in Washington State.

The person hired for this position will have significant responsibility early on, and will be expected to possess:
- Strong research skills; experience with Family law software and with MS Office applications including Excel is required.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A solid work ethic, impeccable attendance and punctuality, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team are critical.
- A positive attitude, the ability to set priorities and work under pressure, and the ability to establish a good rapport with firm attorneys and clients are vital. Salary is commensurate with experience.
- Candidate must be a current, active member of the Washington State Bar Association in good standing. Must successfully pass a background check. Daily work expectations include:
- Establishing positive and collaborative working relationships with clients, colleagues and the courts.
- Effectively applying legal solutions to clients’ issues.
- Clearly and empathetically communicating legal options to clients.
- Researching case law, drafting correspondence and drafting and filing pleadings.
- Effectively representing clients at hearings, depositions and trial.
- Consulting with and retaining new clients.
- Working with staff to accurately calendar all hearings, filing deadlines and other key dates.
- Timely communicating with the Managing Attorney and team members to continue developing skill set and taking on more challenging legal issues.
- Using Family Soft, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) and other technology to efficiently generate work product and records.
- Strong analytical, written & oral communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task on a variety of projects.
- Ability to work both independently & within a team environment.
- Take ownership of assignments and accept responsibility of work product.

Salary is depending on experience. Attorneys are also eligible for an annual performance bonus based on revenue generated.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 40 per week
