Job Title: PMO Reporting Analyst
Location-Type: Remote (WFH) - MUST be in one of these states: IL, IN, IA, KS, MO, OK, TN, TX or WI
Start Date Is: ASAP
Duration: Long term contract
Compensation Range: $45-60/hour

Portfolio & Project Reporting

  • Develop, maintain, and distribute regular reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) on project status, milestones, risks, issues, budgets, and timelines.
  • Build dashboards and scorecards in tools such as Power BI, Excel, or PPM systems (e.g., MS Project Online, OnePlan, Smartsheet).

Data Quality & Governance

  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of project data within PMO systems.
  • Monitor compliance with PMO standards, templates, and reporting requirements.
  • Identify data gaps or inconsistencies and work with project teams to resolve them.
  • Support the evolution of PMO reporting maturity and governance practices.

Portfolio Analytics & PMO Tool Administration

  • Perform trend, variance, and KPI analysis to support portfolio health assessments.
  • Conduct deep dive analyses on resource demand, financial forecasts, benefits tracking, and capacity planning.
  • Support scenario modeling for prioritization and strategic planning.
  • Standardize reporting processes, templates, and metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, or enhance reporting.
  • Support administration of PPM reporting tools (permissions, configurations, data loads, enhancements).
  • Partner with PPM System Admin, IT, or vendors to troubleshoot issues and improve reporting workflows.

Stakeholder and Professional Relationship Management

  • Prepare executive level presentations summarizing project and portfolio insights.
  • Translate complex data into clear narratives, visuals, and recommendations for leadership.
  • Respond to ad hoc reporting requests with accuracy and speed.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships across projects and functional areas, reinforcing a positive environment of collaboration and respect
  • Utilize position and influential powers to engage others in support of project and PMO success

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, IT, Finance, or related field.
  • Strong analytical thinking with attention to detail.
  • Proven communication skills: both written and verbal with technical and non-technical staff and all levels of management.
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams and influence without authority.
  • Proficiency with reporting and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL).
  • Proficient in PPM systems and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Teams, PowerApps, PowerAutomate).
