Job DescriptionGrace Harbor Church & School is looking for a caring, dependable, and energetic Preschool Breaker/Floater to join our preschool team. The Preschool Breaker/Floater provides classroom coverage throughout the day, allowing teachers to take scheduled breaks and lunches while helping maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for our children.
Responsibilities
- Provide classroom coverage during teacher breaks, lunches, and as needed.
- Supervise children and ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
- Assist teachers with daily classroom activities and routines.
- Help with transitions, meals, diapering/toileting, and other classroom needs.
- Support multiple classrooms and age groups as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Follow all preschool policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Work cooperatively with teachers, staff, and the Preschool Director.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with young children preferred.
- Must be dependable, flexible, patient, and nurturing.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must meet California preschool employment and licensing requirements.
- Infant units preferred, but not a requirement.
Schedule
Full-time position with hours based on preschool operating needs.
