SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Surveillance Manager. The Surveillance Supervisor will be responsible all functions of their respective shift. Ensure routine training of Surveillance personnel on all, policies and procedures, including Internal Controls; Surveillance Supervisor must generate detailed and accurate reports. Surveillance Supervisor is responsible for protection of company assets. Administer coaching, annual evaluations and other administrative duties. Ensure that company operations are adhered to in accordance with the Gaming Compact, Santa Clara Development Corporation policies, Tribal Gaming Commission and pursuant to all applicable NIGC requirements, MICS, ICS. Communicates with appropriate departments to address any instances of illegal conduct, procedural non-compliance, or safety/security breaches. Document personnel issues and maintain good report and communication with Surveillance Manager. Perform all other duties as assigned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: include, but not limited to the following:

  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable Responsibilities include the assistance of training, planning, assigning, and delegating work, preparing performance evaluations, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
  • Investigations
  • Usage of all surveillance equipment
  • Internal Controls
  • Monitor all areas of the property, identifying potential security and/or safety risks and reporting same to the appropriate individual or entity, for proper resolution.
  • Ensure assigned shift functions in an optimal fashion.
  • Advises Surveillance employees on assigned shift of duties and responsibilities, and assures that they are completed in a timely, efficient manner.
  • Observe, investigate, intervene as needed and report all violations that come to attention during the course of shift.
  • Investigations may include highly complex criminal conspiracies, detailed reviews of financial records, incidents of cheating and/or theft.
  • Reviews and ensures completion and accuracy of all Incident Reports, Non-Compliance Violations and Audits prior to submitting to the Director.
  • Track and assign follow up as needed for Non-Compliance Violations, Incident Reports and Audits.
  • Conduct reviews and transfer incidents to a separate composite.
  • Report any procedure errors and/ or irregularities observed and generate accurate and descriptive reports as required.
  • Follow Standard and Procedures as required to monitoring and protect all assets of the casino/ corporation.
  • Maintain and record daily activity.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prefer prior Indian Gaming experience in a Surveillance, Security, Law Enforcement, Corrections, Investigative experience (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have strong organizational, communication, employee relations, computer, and decision-making skills.
  • Must be able to function successfully in a team environment.
  • Must be a self -starter with excellent follow through.
  • Must be able to work and interact with departments throughout the organization.
  • Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor in a high stress environment.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including holidays, nights, and weekends.
  • One (1) year minimum work experience as a Surveillance Agent II from a casino or equivalent surveillance experience is preferred. A minimum of 1 year Supervisory experience in a Casino Security or Casino Key position (acceptable)
  • Knowledge of the National Gaming Commission and All State and Tribal gaming rules and regulations is also a requirement.
