Each counter is helmed by chefs drawn from Japan's top 100 restaurants, delivering an immersive, counter-only dining experience built on the art of omotenashi. From Edomae sushi to open-flame craft, every seat is a rare, close encounter with the true essence of Japanese cuisine.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Bartender at TENSHOU Collection is a craft professional and a hospitality ambassador. You are responsible for every element of beverage execution — from the technical precision of your pours to the warmth of every interaction at the bar. Mastery and presence are equally required.

• Execute all cocktail, sake, wine, and NA beverage service to TENSHOU specification.
• Maintain bar setup, cleanliness, and mise en place to standard before and during service.
• Know the full beverage program — cocktails, sake, wine, tea — with genuine depth.
• Engage bar guests with warmth and knowledge; create connection, not just transactions.
• Monitor alcohol service compliance — verify ID, refuse visibly intoxicated guests, per CA ABC.
• Manage bar inventory, waste tracking, and par-level orders in coordination with management.
• Communicate all beverage needs to service team; support Captain during service.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2 years bartending experience in a fine dining or high-volume craft bar.
• Knowledge of sake, Japanese whisky, wine, and classic cocktail technique.
• Professional, precise, and genuinely hospitable under pressure.
• Ability to perform calmly under pressure during high-volume service.Valid Food Handler Card
• Authorization to work in the United States

Schedule Expectations

• Evening and weekend availability required. Shifts typically 5–10 hours.
