Job Summary
Our law office is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team. We focus on trust and estate planning, probate, and related matters. Experience in conservatorships and guardianships is a plus.
The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a busy legal environment. While prior legal experience is preferred, we are willing to train a qualified candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic, excellent writing and communication skills, and the ability to learn quickly.
Responsibilities
- Schedule appointments and maintain attorney calendars
- Assist with preparation of estate planning and probate documents
- Draft correspondence and emails
- Assist with formatting legal documents and filing with court
- Communicate with clients in a professional and client-centered manner
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic filing systems
- Sort and scan mail
- Coordinate with courts and vendors as needed
- Maintain office procedures and assist with administrative tasks
Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish (required)
- Prior experience in trust and estate planning, probate, conservatorship, or guardianship matters preferred
