Experienced Ice Machine & Beverage Equipment Technician
Full-Time | Field Service | Winston-Salem, NC
Position Summary
We’re hiring an experienced Ice Machine Technician with strong skills in commercial refrigeration, water purification systems, and bean‐to‐cup coffee brewers. This role supports customers across foodservice, hospitality, healthcare, and office environments. Ideal candidates excel at diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and delivering reliable, professional field service.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair commercial ice machines (Hoshizaki, Manitowoc, Scotsman, Follett).
- Perform preventive maintenance, descaling, sanitizing, and filter changes.
- Service and maintain water purification systems, including RO units, filtration, and scale‐control devices.
- Troubleshoot and repair bean‐to‐cup coffee brewers (grinders, brew modules, valves, pumps, sensors, control boards).
- Install new equipment: water, drain, electrical, and ventilation setup.
- Use mobile apps, digital checklists, and QR‐based workflows for documentation.
- Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate parts usage and a clean, organized service vehicle.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and EPA refrigerant handling guidelines.
- Participate in an on‐call rotation for urgent service needs.
Qualifications
- Experience in Plumbing.
- Knowledge of Manitowoc and Follett systems.
- Experience with water filtration/purification systems.
- Experience servicing bean‐to‐cup coffee brewers or similar beverage equipment.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in tight or hot environments.
- Comfortable using mobile apps for work orders and documentation.

- Strong troubleshooting and independent problem‐solving ability.
- Familiarity with running water lines and installing Ice and Coffee Machines
- Experience with QR‐code‐based service logs or digital maintenance workflows.
- Customer‐focused communication and professionalism.
- Ability to train junior techs or support process improvements.
