Job Summary:

The Billiards Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing billiard tables and related equipment. This role includes troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring all equipment is functioning optimally for customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspection and Maintenance:
  • Conduct routine inspections of billiard tables, accessories, and related equipment.
  • Perform maintenance tasks
• Troubleshooting:
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with billiard tables and other equipment.
  • Use specialized tools and techniques to fix problems effectively.
• Repairs:
  • Repair or replace damaged components, including pool cues, ball return systems, and lighting fixtures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Customer Service:
  • Communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions.
  • Train staff on proper usage and care of billiard equipment.
• Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory of parts.
  • Provide reports on the condition and performance of equipment.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical maintenance preferred.
• Experience:
  • Previous experience in mechanical repair or maintenance, particularly in billiards or similar recreational equipment.
• Skills:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Familiarity with tools and machinery used in billiard table maintenance.

Work Environment:

• Typically work in recreation centers, bars, or specialized billiard stores.
• May require occasional evening or weekend work based on operational needs.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy objects (pools tables and related materials).
• Standing for extended periods and working in various physical positions.
