Job Details Salary: Competitive pay based on experience Job Type: Full Time Location: Chicago, IL 60645 Position Overview As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will be the primary contact for customers regarding vehicle service and repair needs. You will act as the liaison between customers and technicians, ensuring clear communication and excellent service delivery. Your role involves understanding customer concerns, scheduling service, recommending repairs, and managing customer expectations throughout the repair process. Key Responsibilities Schedule service appointments in person or over the phone to ensure accurate diagnosis and timely repairs. Communicate with customers about repair status, delays, and authorize any revised estimates when necessary. Provide repair and maintenance recommendations based on vehicle needs and customer preferences. Coordinate with technicians to ensure all repairs meet quality standards and complete necessary road tests. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of vehicle operations, warranties, technical service bulletins, and relevant state laws. Ensure all service documentation complies with company and legal standards. Adhere to and promote all safety policies and procedures within the workplace. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities. Perform additional duties as required to support team and business objectives.
Job Requirement:Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of one year experience at a dealership or large automotive service facility preferred. Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong communication and customer service skills. Professional appearance and dependable work ethic. Basic computer literacy and internet navigation skills. Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently. Physically capable of bending, kneeling, squatting, standing, and lifting heavy objects as needed. Safety conscious with a commitment to workplace policies.
