Contract | Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities\n

    \n
  • Provide direct patient care in a combined ICU/Telemetry unit with a PCU/Stepdown-level acuity environment, including 24/7 close monitoring of seriously ill or recovering patients
  • \n

  • Manage patient types including GI, DKA, chest pain, CHF, and pneumonia with minimal ventilator management
  • \n

  • Float to Telemetry when ICU census is low
  • \n

  • Occasionally float to Medical-Surgical or Emergency Room units as needed
  • \n

  • Maintain current BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications throughout the assignment
  • \n

Required Qualifications\n

    \n
  • Active Louisiana RN license or multistate compact license
  • \n

  • BLS certification (AHA) — must be on file at time of submission
  • \n

  • ACLS certification (AHA) — must be on file at time of submission
  • \n

  • Minimum of 4–5 years of ICU experience
  • \n

  • Candidates must be aware of and comfortable with the PCU/Stepdown acuity level of this unit prior to submission
  • \n

Preferred Experience / Skills\n

    \n
  • Experience in a combined ICU/Telemetry or PCU/Stepdown setting
  • \n

  • Comfort floating to Medical-Surgical and Emergency Room units
  • \n

  • Experience with telemetry monitoring and low-acuity critical care patient populations
  • \n
